Look to the Cross

Restless nights eased by quenching thirsts from bottles till dawn.
Lamenting pains tear the skin leaving one feeling like a pawn.
Fears turn to frights as the lonely walk passes from days to years.
Repeating this cycle with friends at parties as everyone cheers.
Inside the emptiness grows larger where darkness consoles with every heartbeat.
Integrity could not be questioned as long as truth took a backseat.
Knocking began, but the door was sealed shut with life in denial.
Terrors turned to joyful tears because of Christ Jesus death declaring a mistrial.
Profoundly fallen in iniquity, the breath of El Shaddai upon the heart was felt.
Leaving the flock to rescue the fallen one before sin’s final damage was dealt.
Piercing nails driven through the body of El Elyon bleeding on the Cross for all to see.
Disciples and faithful followers mourned as arrogant mockers declared victory.
Upon the third day, risen defeating sin and death for all who choose to believe.
By grace though faith look to Jehovah Sabaoth for all is forgiven. Just open your heart and receive.
