Stand in Prayer

Darkness falls as fear mockingly dances cursing thoughts through the night.
Soured peers glaringly glance while gossip’s timetable twists lies of deceit.
Patience plants seeds of disciplined humility while tents are built at the campsite.
Winds of change bring growth in contentment and trust when looking into the face of defeat.

Help is needed oh Elohim, please hear and act as You have done before.
Friends have become oppressors with sharpened anger toward us today.
Our eye of faith now rests upon Jehovah Nissi awaiting evermore.
Wisdom of courage through trials aids confidence in Jehovah Rapha all the way.

Forsaken on the well lit stage upon the path set in place.
Prayers for deliverance begin with faith by asking in humble appeal.
Overwhelming burdens are too heavy to solely run this jagged race.
When surrounded by fears of betrayal, Jehoavah Jireh, before You we kneel.

Oh El Elyon, we are ever grateful for the example of prayer You displayed.
Thank you for reminding us to look to Christ Jesus who always prayed.
